Torre Annunziata is an Italian town of 43 699 inhabitants in the province of Naples in Campania. It is the third largest port in Campania, is the spa (Terme Vesuvius) and the seaside with Marina del Sole, Marina della Salera, Marina di Rovigliano, Oncino an Scogli di Prota. It has been an important industrial center since the time of industrial revolution to the present day. It was the capital of art with hundreds of white pasta factories in the area until after World War II, with a company still active. Home to major iron and steel and engineering industries, so as to be appealed the Manchester of the South, companies nowadays operate the marine industry and the pharmaceutical industry. It is part of the metropolitan area of Naples and the Regional Park of the Sarno. She was buried Pompeii and Herculaneum by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79.
